Lily Lovell was born of a Gypsy Father and an English Mother in 1937 in England.
She was orphaned at the age of 6 years and was raised by her mother’s sister.
She was saved in an Elim Pentecostal Church at 18yrs of age.
She worked as a hair dresser and then a nurse before meeting her partner (William Hawkins).
She had two children (Nigel & Lisa) before migrating to Australia.
They were active in the Anglican and Baptist Churches and Lilian worked as a nurse.
They had another child (Belinda).
Later they opened a retirement home which they ran for several years.
Lilian and Bill started a ministry for disabled people from the spastic society.
After a few years they moved into crisis ministry aswell.
They used puppets extensively in their ministry (the Bass Valley Gospel Puppets) taking the gospel to schools, nursing homes, Gypsies and Australian Aboriginals.
She remained faithful to God until the end.
Praise God for this wonderful lady.
