She was wonderfully saved in an Elim Pentecostal Church in Coulston at the age of 18.
She worked as a hair dresser and then a nurse before meeting her partner (William Hawkins) and having three children.
They ran a small retirement home for several years which went into bankrupsy. They lost their house.
Lilian and Bill started a ministry for disabled people from the spastic society.
After a few years they moved into crisis ministry aswell.
Lilian also had a burning desire to take the Gospel to the Gypsies in Australia and later the Aborigines aswell.
In their later years, they started a puppet ministry – the Bass Valley Gospel Puppets – which visited schools, churches & nursing homes.
She required haemodialysis for several years before dying of diabetes related complications.
She remained faithful to God up until the very end.
Praise God for this wonderful lady.
